I have an LT1 in my '92 and I get about 21 mpg on city/highway combined. I could get probably get better mileage but then I wouldn't have as much fun.

22 mpg with drag racing. I would guess 16 to 18 around town.

I'm putting 3.73's behind a 200R4 and stroker small block in my 1970 Monte Carlo. Do you guys think 3.55's would make much difference?

Pat,
I have not had any time to put towards the '68. Orders are pilling up with the new Sharkbar. I'm currently getting ready to paint the frame. I just finish rebuilting the rear end. I still need to find the right cam combination.
I have to give you credit. You are one of the few that started out with a bare bones LS1 and built it. Good job!! What are your thoughts with the LS1 compared to the TPI?
I sent the graphic (LS1) I received from Jeff and sent them to my Sticker guy. I hope to get them back in a couple of weeks.
I did get to drive a customers Yellow 2006 Z06 2 week ago. WOW!! What a awesome Vette. GM really did an excellent job. I wish I could afford one.
Dan

Compared to the tpi ,less torquey feel, but a smooth power curve .The tpi died up top but the ls1 just keeps pulling and alot after 3500 rpm.I was o used ot the torque the tpi had its gone to take some time getting used to the ls1 but i like it so far.
