Default master cylinder

Can anyone tell me how to tell the difference in a

standard master cylinder and a power brake master cylinder?

Having alot of trouble making a 73 power brake system work. Any suggestions welcome. New master, rebuilt calipers, new booster. WE bleed and get all air out and it works for about 100 miles and slowly goes away. And then sometimes gets real tight and almost stays locked up like the brakes are on. I am beginning to think there is some kind of problem with the front to rear balancing valve. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Put dial indicator on rotor runout and all were in tolerence. Any help would be great. Jeff

Manual has a 1" bore.

Power has a 1.125" bore.

Sort of...

A power master on a manual car will be very hard to stop.

a manual master on a power car will be spongy and sensitive
