Thought I would let everyone know I ran the motor about 25 minutes ago. After an initial timing problem cranked right up. Had to shut down for oil gallery leak, fixed that and ran like a champ for 45 min. Had to spray radiator with hose to keep temp below 200, other than that great. Will crank tomorrow and readjust valves. Next step, into the car after 16 years of being apart. :D :D :D  :yesnod: ;) :seeya
For all who helped with my questions and others. Ran engine about 30 minutes ago and other than initial timing and an oil gallery leak, it ran great and ran it for about 45 minutes between 2000-3000 rpm. Tomorrow will recrank and adjust valves. Finally, after 16 years out of car. :D :D :D   :yesnod: :seeya
My stand was home made, I will try to get a picture for you before I take motor off. Yeah, 16 years long time, I hauled car around from base to base (was in Air Force) and only worked on it when home. Gone on many temporary assignments and overseas while car sat at home. Hope to have it back on road by years end. :D :chevy
