Are you planning on using manifold vacuum...
If so, just get a vacuum checkvalve like you already have for your headlights and hook up to your source.
Usually a can will still only give you one or two brake pedal applications before you're out of vacuum, unless you use a vacuum pump. Such as this.

An Internet search for "Chevrolet vacuum pump" will yield many sources.
Must have a pretty lumpy cam.
Have you ruled out all possible vacuum leaks.
