Default Help! FL performance shop recommendation

I'm about to begin a radical frame-off project on my '69 (350/350)convertible. I need a top-grade performance shop to help me seriously beef-up the original motor. Any suggestions/recommendations in the Central FL area? THANKS!

is it the numbers matching block in the car? you may want to think about putting it off to the side and just having a new block built up.... you can go bigger for not too much more money and save the original block if you ever plan on selling the car.

How bout some pics of this ride?

That's my biggest conflict/dilemma! It's an original 70K mile, 350/350, convertible in great shape, I just want to do something special with it. I've had numerous corvettes, and this is my favorite representative. I hope that the option to sell the car in original form will be out-weighed by my desire to keep it as a one-of-a-kind toy.

I welcome, and appreciate, advice and opinions on this subject. Thanks!

I don't know about central FL, but try posting this in the Southeast regional section too. There are quite a few guys in the Orlando area that could probably give you some recommendations.

Depends on WHERE in central Fla you are. You could try Automotive Engineering (1-800-284-3551), they have stores in Tampa, Clearwater, Jacksonville, Bradenton, and New Port Richey. Been around for a while and can point you in the right direction (most likely). Their website is (southernperformance.com)

Try "The Best Darn (sp.) Garage in Town"... Doesn't Smokey's son still run the machine/engine shop in Daytona?

Try these guys. American MotorSports, 4130 North Orange Blossom Tr, Orlando. 407-290-6565. www.americanmotorsports.net . I have been using them for the past year and they know the S. I have never had to order a part because they have most everything in stock. They also do machine work. They are located between Lee Rd and Apopka. Good luck. Matt
