Where i can buy new cast iron block for sbc?
The motor will be about 450-550 hp and would be 4 bolts. 2-piece rear main seal.
What about World (Motown), Dart's little M or something else?
What cubic inches are you looking for? You can get a new GM block at a dealership for about $700-$900. If you are wanting to stroke it anything bigger than a 396 small block, then go with World or Dart-even a 396sbc is kinda pushing it, but it's doable.

Power is addictive. I am building a 383 with a GM block but If I didn't have a 4 bolt block to work with I would buy a Motown. A friend has a 400 Motown Block he is running 600 HP with 280 HP nitous shot. Pulling almost 900 HP and running 9's It's 3 years old and hasn't been apart.
I want to good "basic" motor. Block 350 with 4-bolt. Hp will be like i say about 450-550 hp + 150 hp shot. Motor will be normal cruising. And any way reliable street car. What kind of block you recommend for me??
Pulled a roller/1-piece style block from a truck at the junkyard for a shade over $100. Had it magged, tanked, and bored for $200, and am building a roller cammed 383 with it. It's one route you might think of taking.....
Im not sure where you are located at but I have an extra block that will need machining. It is standard bore, but I would take it 30 over. Ill take 200 bucks for it if you are interested.
