Default Raising my vette

I have to suffer annual vehicle safety inspections and the sump and headers sit pretty low, is there an easy way to raise the front say half an inch just for a temporay situation. The back is easy, its just the front (cant afford adjustable coil overs just yet).

You could get some of those old aluminum twist in spacers to install between the coils. Just about any parts store has them. Just don't leave them there!

What do they look like? I used some adjustable expanders between two coils once but they spotted them and declared them illegal. Something more subtle would be the go.
