Default seat belt warning guts

I have a 69, and the radio was ripped out before I bought it and the guts for the seat belt warning light in the bezel was riped out and I cant find anyone that will sell the wiring/guts for the seat belt or door ajar warning, I have since bought a new bezel that fits a DIN style radio and it has the button for the warning light but there is no bulb or wiring, If you could tell me where I can find a replacement wiring/bulb combo I would highly appreciate it. I think I would also need to know how to wire it so that it actually works. then my guage bezzel will be done. thanks

If needed I can get some pics up of it in a couple days, it is geting worked on right now thanks again

It's too bad I didn't read your post two days ago. I had my 70 bezel out on the bench. I had to fix my seat belt warning lite so it worked after I installed my new CD player DIN style. I could have taken a picture.
I don't know who sells the seat belt lite mechanism. But if my memory serves me, it looks like a printed circuit board with a plastic lite bulb socket that screws into the circuit board. Only one wire goes to it. It comes off the gauge next to it. The seat belt button mechanism has what looks like a coil and poits set up. When you push the buttom, the points close, active the coil, which cuts the ground or power to the seat belt button. In my case, the button was not pushing far enough to hit the points, so my lite always stayed on.
I think you may have to find a salvage place to pull one off. The circuit board is about one inch square and is screwed into the bezel holding the other gauges with 2 screws, quarter inch heads if I recall right.
Try calling Paragon, or Doctor Rebuild who seem to carry some used parts as well as most new ones. They have been good to me with hard to find parts for my 70.

Thanks for the reply, I appreciate it. That pic would have really helped, but oh well, I have a question though,
I am looking at the original bezel and I see no place where a circut board would have been, are you saying that
there is a circuit board on the bezel right next to the seat belt warning lens?

If this is right, then there is a single wire coming from the circuit board right, and where does this wire go? does
it run to both seat belt latchs? or is this a power wire, I am not sure how this thing works at all.

Should I see if there are wires coming from the seat belt latches to see if they are running up to the bezel?
Then just find a circuit board from doctor rebuild?

Here are some pics of my original bezel front and back.

Here's a couple of pics of the assembly in my '69. Please excuse the mess - the dash is all apart.

Here's the gage cluster from the front. You can see the coil and the contact where the push button presses.

Here's a view from the back. You can see the small PC board and where it is wired to the gas gage next to it.

Hope that helps.

Dave

ok great, thanks I was thinking it was located somewhere else. Those pics helped. I think I am now just missing a bulb. I will order the bulb and see if that solves the problem, there is no buzz or light when I start the car so maybe it needs a bulb for that to work. thanks again I will update in a week or so when the bulbs come in.

The above pics are exactly what mined looked like.
Remember that on the 69-71 cars, this lite was only a reminder. It comes on automatically every time you start up the car and stays on until you push the button. There is no connection to any seat belts. It does not read whether the seat belt is latched, like on later years. Basically this is a primative reminder sytem only.
If you have the circuit board in place as pictured, it should work if you have a good bulb, so long as the button presses against that points setup shown in the first photo. Good luck.

NO buzz, just the light. Chuck

Where did you buy a bezel that fits a DIN radio? How was the fit? I just bought a "GM replacement" bezel to cut but the fit is horrible.
