Removing AC - Anyone Move the Alternator?
On the '79 vette I have, the previous owner removed the AC compressor pump. I am not interested in adding it back (that is what T-tops are for!) but would like to "balance" my engine. Currently, the Alternator and PS pump are on the driver side. I would like to know if anyone has moved the Alternator to the other side, and if so, what bracket did you use? Also, has anyone raised the PS pump? I do still have a belt-driven water pump, but will be moving toward an electric version (with electric fan). I think this would go a long way to balancing out my engine compartment and making things easier to work on. Any ideas are welcome.
