More nitrous= new best !!
I upped the jets in my race car from a 200 shot to a 250 and headed to the track. My previous best was a 5.287 with a 1.15 60'. My goal was to improve on both.
First run off the trailer showed some promise. 5.32x with a 1.189 60'. This was in the heat, so I thought if I could get it to hook I might be in there.
Next run was a 5.33 with a 1.18 60'. This was the third run on the nitrous bottle...and it (the bottle) was not as warm as I would have liked. So I went back to the pits and out a fresh bottle in it.
With my fresh bottle and 1000 psi of pressure in it I headed to the line. The launch felt good and the shift light was on in high gear for what seemed like forever on the big end. I thought I might have done it. I got my slip and it was a 5.279 YAAAAA!!. Not by much .008, but I will take what I can get. The 60' was still off a little 1.17x. I knew the track was coming around so I went back to the pits to make another run. I thought I could go a 5.25x if I could get the car to hook. A buddy of mine suggested I check the front tire pressure because it looked a little low. I stuck the tires pressure gauge on it and the valve stem got stuck !!! The tire immediately went flat. I did not have a valve stem tool with me, so my night was over. I loaded the car up and came home. Oh well, I got a new best, but I should would have liked to make that last run.
I have no real-experience with 4-link cars (other than what a few buddies have shown me with their cars on-ocassion ), but will the car pick-up in the 60' by making a change in moving the Instant Center or shock-settings, with the new-found HP/TQ from the N2O?

Very-impressive, keep-up the good-work!!!!!
Yes, that is the beauty of the 4 link. With my current chassis tune my car hooks better with the nitrous than without. The IC is very important and the shocks are even more critical. In general you want the IC to be about 50% of the wheel base of the car. There are a lot of variables though.
The reason pro-stock and other full race cars leave with their wheels just off the ground, as comparred to a lot of street cars that leave with the wheels way up, is the 4 link. Street suspensions have a tremendous amount of anit-squat in the suspension. This pounds the tire into the ground and lifts the front of the car. It looks cool, but is a lot of wasted energy and not the most effecient way to get a car down the track.
