Default Any difference between R43XLS and Rapidfire #4?

My motor calls for either R43XLS or Rapid Fire #4's SPARK PLUGS, the Rapid Fire #4's are 4.69 each and the R43XLS are 1.79 a piece, is there any differenc between the two? It's the zz502 crate motor.

What about performance wise? I want to run the 1/4 mile as fast as possible, so does either spark plug make a difference? I know one lasts a lot longer than the other, but what about performance? I have Rapid Fire #4's in there now and ran it way too hot, can I just clean, re-gap and reuse them? I only have like 100 miles on them.

I don't think there will be any noticeable difference in performance. You pay more $$ for platinum (check out the price of platinum!!) and I don't think it does more than lasts longer, although the manufacturer might claim otherwise. With some modern automobiles.... my lexus comes to mind... it is a major job to reach some or all of the spark plugs, so if you can run them for 100,000 miles instead of 25,000 miles it is well worth paying more for plugs.

There was a recent thread about cleaning and reusing spark plugs. Let us know your 1/4 mile times with the 502!
