Default Which Springs To Use?

I’m running VBP’s GT (460lb.) springs in front, and their 330lb. glass spring in back. Along with the recommended Bilstein shocks, the car was expected to handle great. Ended up being much worse, and my car rides too high to boot. I cut the fronts down some, but we all know this increases the spring rate (VBP’s 550lb. Slalom springs are identical to their GTs, only shorter). Now the F/R “balance” is thrown off too. Their glass spring is disappointing as well – my factory glass spring gave a lot more control. What are you guys running successfully far as springs, front and back, and what are your recommendations? Car is still running 1-1.5” high F/R.

In what ways did it make it handle worse? Over steer, under steer?

Did you get the car re-aligned? Do you have the longer bolts in the rear which makes the rear adjustable. Once you change suspension parts, the car should be re-aligned. My $.02

You can't just go throwing in suspension parts without an alignment.

Are your bushings in good shape? If they're worn out, the tighter suspension components will probably magnify any other worn parts.

More like BUMP-steer, the higher the speed the worse. When going over quick elevation changes while on turns, even low angle ones, it gets dodgy on me. At highway speeds it can get pretty interesting (not in a good way).

Agreed. Made the change a few years ago and had it aligned just after and every year since.

Sounds like you might have a steering problem.
