Does anyone know which key fits this lock? I assume it’s the round door key and not the square ignition key. Mine is AFU but I want to make sure I am at least trying to use the right key.
Same here, but I had to buy a new alarm switch for the back, so I had a locksmith match that to work the key I got with a new spare tire lock. He also reworked the storage compartment lock and both door locks. All those items now open with the round key. My square key is reserved for only the ignition.

just curious..... why would you want to have seperate key for doors and ignition? seems like a hassel to me.....
actually, i kind of like the way they used to do it back in 1957. there was a special lock position for the ignition. once you had the key in and turned it out of that position, you could remove the key entirely while driving. that way you don't have your keys swingin around smacking into your dash or steering wheel when you hit a bump or something.
i was just curious to know why you did that instead of having one key for doors and ignition, round key for accessories...

I didn't have a key for that, or the glove box or the alarm system on my 76 when I bought it. I had to take off the whole lock assembly for all of them and have the locks keyed to match. They all work great now (well, accept for the alarm, the key turns though).
On a '78 it is the same as the glovebox lock. Many cars don't have it match. If you can;t get it off go to a locksmith ahve them pick it and tumble it to match your key. They only charged me $8 to retumble it. Eckler's used to charge $50 for this service.
