Default C4 dana 44 pinion mount & rear end pump bracket combo

After brainstorming about how to set up the pinion mount so that it's easy to adjust the pinion height and have enough room left to mount a single stage scavenge pump/rear end cooler pump I decided the easiest and best way would be to mount it off the additional bar I have in the rear that mounts the upper shock mounts. This is what I came up with...pretty neat if I say so myself

If only the factory racing teams had tried something like this prior to their showing at LeMans, perhaps GM wouldn't have taken a 30 year break from international racing. All those rear ends burned up after the first 8 hours.

Looking nice, can't wait to see the finished product.

Marck,
You couldn't possibly have another job! You're always working on the Vette! I'm on my way now to pick up heim joints and a bar for the tower brace!

Marck - while your at it you might as well put your alternator in the same location like real race cars

It's only a small mount, not something that takes days to build I gotta make some progress every now and then or turtle will give me a hard time about it

I already have a bracket to mount the alternator on the engine. An running it off the driveshaft would mean it won't charge at all when standing still or driving slowly.

He will probably run all the way across his whole country in 30 minutes. No need for a rear cooling pump.

Come on TT quit stalling with all these bogus side projects and lets see what that thing got. Get it on the road.

a pinion mount is kind of important isn't it? sure..the cooler pump is a side project but it was a small "while I was at it" can't help it if I have the whileimatitis.

It looks to me like this guy Twin Turbos is building his car for a different type of competition, where a chain is locked on the rear of his car as well as that of an opposing car and each car pulls in opposite directions. The winner pulls the rear off the other car and takes it home with him.
