Default 1968 / Lights = bad earth ??

Hi.

I have a few questions regarding my lights - it might jut be a bad earth connection - and I would appriciate any kind of input or advice..

* The Hazzard don´t work
* lowbeam shows highbeam inside the car
* highbeam don´t show inside the car
* highbeam makes the turnsignal indicator inside the car light

The highbeam switch is new, and I have replaced the 2 "outside" bulbs with H4

Thanks
Claus

Did you have this problem before making those changes?

may not be related, but you need relays to support the H4 bulbs, they draw a lot more current than stock. Might as well put them on the low beams too and verify the headlight grounds while your doing that.

It sounds like you're having some ground problems....I'd get a volt/ohm meter and start looking for resistence on the ground side of all your lights...the bad ground may be sharing a ground from a good ground causing disfunction....hazzards? Get a new flasher...

You may need a hazard flasher.

Are you sure you received the correct highbeam replacement switch?

Are you sure the connection is correct?

Low beams are the outside lights on each side, looking from the front. If memory serves, they have three-wire connectors going to them.
High beam lamps are the inner lights, looking from the front. They have two-wire connectors going to them.

Your H4s may require separate relays.
