Default Bleeding Hydraulic Clutch

I finally got my 383 assembled and installed with the new t5 conversion. Problem is I can't seem to get the master and slave to bleed. I used the 85 truck master and slave. I've pump the pedal, I've used a vacuum pump on the bleeder, I've put positive pressure on the holding tank, I've pumped some more and nothing. Anyone have any ideas I would be forever greatful.

Chris,
I have had some tell me that you really have to pump the pedal a lot to get the air out although I had no problem with mine. Did you check the input shaft length, and more importantly the length of the throwout bearing retainer to make sure it does not contat the pressure plate springs? It needs to be a 1/4 to 1/2 inch from the springs to allow movement. If this is the problem, it will seem as though you aren't getting the system bled. I hope this helps.

Thanks Bernie. I got it. Turns out the factory rubber stopper I put in wasn't leting the pedal to come up far enough the take in the fluid. Once I pulled it out and lifted the pedal up my vacuum pump pulled the fluid right thru. I now have a clutch HOO HOO. I think another day and I'll be starting the motor up for the break in. It's been a looong winter.

Chris,
I'm glad it wasn't anything serious!
