Blown Holley power valve.
Am reading up on carbs and the fuel system at the moment. Whilst reading a few other posts, a blown power valve was mentioned with Holley carbs. Seems like these are prone to failing if you have a back fire through the carb.
My question is what are the symptoms of a blown power valve and is there a check/test to prove if its ok or not.
TIA, learning all the time.

Take your finger and hold it over the vent tube on the primary side. If it floods out right away the PV is blown. Due the same in the rear if you have 2 PVs. This has worked for me countless times and is very easy to do. If the car does not flood out check elsewhere. You will actually see the fuel being pulled in if you look down the throat while you are doing this.
