Are the non-greasable u-joints stronger then the greasable ones? I am rebuilding the rear-end of my 80 Vette and would to install the greasable ones. There nothing wrong with the original ones but while I have everything apart it can't hurt to be precious’s. I installed a 400hp crate engine and I don't want to snap the u-joints if the greasable ones are weak. Sorry if this was posted before.

The greasable ones are generaly considered to be weaker...
That said... I doubt they are that much weaker...BUT if I tossed in a 400 HP engine I would forget the ones with grease fittings...
Thanks for the replys guys! I just got back from advanced auto and picked up 6 heavy duty u-joints for 15.48 each. I figured I will replace the drive shaft u-joints also for precaution.
