L82 Exhaust/Intake Recommendations

L82 Exhaust/Intake Recommendations
I'm assuming, so correct me if I'm wrong...that my 73 L-82 could benefit greatly from headers and a new intake/carb combination. It has stock-everything (except cam and I don't know the specs, just that its pretty "lobey").
Can anyone recommend some headers that will bolt up to factory sidepipes? Of course, I want to improve restriction versus factory manifolds and I like the sound/look of the sidepipes.
To the same end, can anyone recommend an intake/carb combination that will offer better flow and still fit under a stock (cowl induction) hood?
Appreciate any help...too many options out there.

I have an Edelbrock Performer 2101 w/o EGR and QJet carb on my 73. Fit's under the hood and factory cowl air cleaner fit's nicely.
Exhaust is next project....21/2" SS with Dyaflows and a Xover. I have not decided whether to go with headers or not. leaning NOT at this point.
