Default Center instrument cluster-light

Presently I'm restoring a 1970 coupe. I'm trying to keep it as original as possible. After rebuilding the center instrument panel when it was reinstalled and tested I found that I cannot keep the fasten "seat belt" light from coming back on. When the button is pushed the light will go out but will re illuminated after releasing. I know there is a holding coil that is designed to engage which keeps the light from re illuminating. This might be the problem, the question I have is where can I get a replacement. I can not find one. Any help is appreciated.

Check the Corvette mags. I found my replacement at Pacific Corvette in Portland, OR. Easy to deal with, and they'll ship to you. Ask for Jim. Phone is (503) 239-0210.

Thanks for the response. From what I can determine the 1970 fasten seat belt light is nothing more than an idiot light. Even if you have your belts fastened the light will still illuminate and only go out when you push the button in on the center gauge cluster.

Ditto for the '68. Push it and it goes out.
