Recently bought inner and outer window seals. The outers were very easy to change but the orignal inners are stapled on to the door panel. Can the new seals be installed in a different way since I don't have any kind of stapler that will go through the metal on the door panel?
I bought them at the Vette fest in Chicago a couple months ago. They came in a set complete both windows for $79. The seller was not one of the big guys but a small dealer that sells all GM parts
you could attach them with some stiff fine wire( like the staples are made of) might have to be a manual kind of thing.
Basically stich them on.
I found the inner seals at ecklers the other day, posted them in here somewhere
You can drill and use 1/8" pop rivets to hold them on. You won't pass NCRS, but they will not come off. That's what I did and it looks fine, you need to look for the rivets to see them.
Great idea that sounds like it will be easier than the wire trick.
Thanks again, it will be an easy project this weekend. No need to worry about NCRS mine is a weekend driver with 89,000 mi.
