$%$##& starter! need some help
bendix broke on my starter. I have been 2 advance auto twice to get new starters and neither one of them will fit into the flywheel cover and line up with the bolts. I first bought an inline...then realized I need a staggered. well, staggered is a closer fit but still cannot get it to go all the way into place and line up. what starter do I need? it is a 69 350 4 speed original motor/drivetrain.
it seems the bendix shroud(for lack of better term) is just a touch too big....or am I just doing something wrong? thanks! Dave
