Default 2.5" exhaust system

What would be a good exhaust system that will fit a 78 vette? Or should I just get a universal kit and make it myself. No muffler shops will do it because of no cats.

I have changed both of My 79s over to "true duals" using kits
from Corvette America. I think most of the Corvette parts supply
houses sell basically the same kit, comes with all the pipes, clamps,
gaskets, hangers and mufflers. Both of mine have fit well and have had
no complaints.

That is what I may have to do. I have true duals with no cats right now. But it is only 2" I also want some higher flow mufflers.

I am running the 2 inch stock exhaust manifolds on mine but the
pipe that bolts to the manifold goes from 2 inch to 2 1/2 inch about
2 inches from manifold so all of the pipes and mufflers are 2 1/2 inch.

I might just keep the 2" setup corvette americas prices seem high. I'll just get some 2" high performance mufflers.

I'm using Mid America Design's 2 1/2" chambered duals, no cats on my 79. Got the ones that bolt up the the stock exhaust manifolds.

I have headers so they would have to be modified. I don't realy want to hack up a new exhaust system.
