Default Temp sensor for 69 Vette

I installed a ZZ4 in 69 vette , I am looking for a temp sensor that will work with the stock gauges . The 69 stock sensor thread is to big to fit in the hole for the ZZ4 .I have a sensor in now but it is not calibrated correctly and my readings are way off. Any Ideas TX.

Check with your local speed shop. They should be able to get a screw in adapter for you to make your orignal sender work. I got one for a digital tune ported 383 stroker conversion I did in a s-15 jimmy.

Jeckel is correct, thats one way. Having been through this myself, heres what I did. You can mount the sending unit in the intake manifold if you have the hole for it. Or you can take the head to a machine shop and have the sending unit hole hogged out and threaded to fit the stock sender. Hopes this helps.
