Headlight Actuator Relay Valve
Should Vacuum be bypassing these valves in any way? I've pulled them to check with a vacuum pump and in either direction there is a escaping through the tube on the bottom next to the valve. common sense tells me that that tube should be to let enough air out for the valve to operate but I'm not sure. Next question, If they are bad and should hold a tight vacuum in either direction is there a wat to rebuild them by changing an o-ring or two?

There was a thread with pics. on how to rebuild these parts. Do an advanced search. I just got a new one from ebay for $49 with the gold plating on top. the GM replacement did not have the cad. plating on the top only the bracket.

It really works. Just bend the retaining ring around the canister, open it up, set the rod portion in brake fluid for a day, wipe clean, apply grease, re-assemble and bingo your relay should work again. www.corvettefaq.com I believe has the pics and the sort.
