I don't like to wait for things to happen if I can make them happen
I've setup an IRC server at:
corvetteforum.nexuscomm.net (default port 6667)
Join us in channel #C3
If you've never used IRC before but you'd like to try it, I suggest going to www.mirc.org downloading the mIRC IRC client and going from there. If there is an interest, and people are hanging out in the channel, we can see what we can do to help you guys that have never used IRC.
I'll talk to Troy later about getting a proper DNS pointed to it, and maybe having his server link. Let's just see how it goes.
This is kinda cool once everyone gets in here...maybe someone can do a Q&A on certain topics (ie Lars on his timing stuff, engine HP gurus ect.ect.) on a specific day and time and then post notice on the forum..then as it gets more popular people will visit more often and then the need for a specific time/day would not be needed...Just a thought...I would hate to see people discouraged by visiting a couple of times only to find that no one is there...
Pedro,
Sorry for not including the Mac users in the mini-docs I myself am a Mac (and Linux) user. I don't even use Windows, but I figured the majority did. Ircle is definitely the best Mac IRC client there is. If you like it and can afford it, give Onno something too
This could definitely be fun. I like the idea of having some scheduled chats or something to get people interested and in the channel. I also think it's true that this might lower the traffic on the Forum if quick easy questions could be answered on the IRC.
If anyone has questions, you know where to find me.
