tach wiring
I need the wire location for a 75 tach. I am converting to an electronic tach in my 71. there are 3 terminals, ground, 12 volts and signal. they are not marked. what terminal is for what wire? someone posted this earlier but I seached and can't find it. I want to test it before I install it.

don't have your exact answer,but on my 75 the tach's circuit board was fried and it was obvious because there was a burnt copper track in the board,just open it up and look at it. i fixed my circuit board with a small wire soldered to the contacts that were burnt.

+ is 12V
- is ground
3rd one with the square wave is tach signal input.
If the board isn't the same, post a pic of your, and I'll mark it up.
