I have a 72 sb that is having its suspension worked on right now.
The guy working on it, pointed out that my radiator is starting to split ( horizontally) at the left bottom anchor post.
I guess the radiator is made up of 2 inch horizontal cooling fin sections soldered together?
There is no leaking and the rad looks in good shape.
The only thing is that the left anchor bolt is securing only the first row of cooling fins . The top part of the left side of the rad is a little wobbly.
The right side is intact and very secure.
Has any one seen this happen before and does it necessitate the replacement of the rad?
i never had it happen but look on the web for northern radiator. i bought an aluminum radiator from them for $400 and it works some much better then factory. and was a perfect fit.
