Default Carlisle thoughts......

I LOVE Carlisle. It is a great time and a SUPER show with so much going on it takes all 3 days to try to see it all. Couple of things that caught my attention this year.....
--It appears that the number of C3's is definitly lower than I have noticed before. It seemed to me that the majority of the vehicles there were of the C4/C5 generation. But the 'sharks' definitly have the advantage in looks (my humble opinion)
--of the C3's....there were ALOT of '78's but not very many Pace Car's. (my particular favorite) Wonder why that is.
--People of all generation vette's are friendly and helpful and just a blast to fill the fairground with that much fiberglass. Hope everyone had as good a time as I did. --Jon

My sentiments exactly. The C3 is still the leader in looks in my opinion.

Although not able to attend Carlisle, I rarely see any C3's up here in NorthEast.

Don't forget also that many C4 and C5 owners have C3s at home and they are just driving their "newest" Corvette to Carlisle.

I had a great time at carlise, but did anyone notice that there seemed to be a huge number of yellow vettes? I think I saw almost as many yellows as I did reds. :yesnod: so much for all vette being red.

MY THOUGHTS:

I COULDNT LEAVE NC UNTIL 400 PM, FRI. GOT TO THE HOTEL IN HARRISBURG ABOUT 100 AM SAT. GOT UP AT 1000AM, THEN TO CARLISE ABOUT 1230 PM.

1. TRAFFIC GOING IN FROM THE INTERATSTE TO THE FAIRGROUNDS WAS HORRIBLEBAD.
2. I WALKED MY foot OFF IN THE FAIRGROUND

NEXT YEAR, IM TAKING A BYCYCLE! MANY GREAT USED PARTS. I GOT A 68 RADIO WITH CONVECTOR FOR 90 BUCKS. AND IT WORKS. OF COURSE, IT TOOK 2 DAYS TO TALK THE GUY DOWN

MANY C4/5'S. NOT MANY C3'S.

Oh, I don't know . . . I thought the C3's were pretty well represented. Maybe it was just those in the parking area.
What I don't get is the lack of C3 logo'd "stuff" to buy. You can find all kinds of C4/C5 shirts, etc, but VERY little for our sharks. (Then you look at the posts on this forum, for instance--"we're" easily the most popular). Some marketing guy is at the airport--and his ship is coming in.
