Hi,
I have a 71' and am putting a 79' a/c unit in it.
Questions:
Does anyone have a diagram to intragrate the 79' unit with the 71' thumb controls?
Another question? Will a 77-79 shift plate be made to fit a 71' console as to use the 79' A/C slide controls?
That would be ideal as I like those better.

Hmm...not sure if you could retrofit the 77-82 lower console plate, as the upper center console was changed in 77. They might not fit together right. Personally, I rather like the thumbwheel design. It's different.
