I’m finally putting my vette back together after a body off restoration. Somehow to get the front clip to line up with the door gaps I had to move it back ¾”, but other then that it's going well. I’ve sanded all the paint off and am starting to bondo all the gaps so that the lines match up around the doors, hood and such. My problem is the rubber nose. Does anyone know what to use to build up the rubber nose in the corners so that the lines match up? I’ve got it set so it’s perfect on top, but the corners on the sides need to be built up about 1/8”.
If you are trying to get perfect body panel fit you may want to go with a fiberglass bumper. I don't know of any easy way to build up a urethane bumper without the repair showing. At least with the fiberglass nose you can treat it just like the rest of the car. Good luck.

The urethane repair supplies I've seen are for smaller repairs and holes not build up, and they don't feather perfectly. The urethane bumpers are easier to install, but if you want a really good match to the body, you can make a glass bumper fit very nicely and it will retian it's shape for many years. Every Vette body is slightly different, but expect to spend time fitting it and removing excess rubber on the nose reinforcement.
