Default lowering front end

hello,

I just put new tires on my 75 coupe. I went with big 275/60-15s in the rear and 225/70-15s up front. The big rear tires really fill up the wheel wells and make the front tires look almost like skinnies.

I have to rebuild the rear end next and want to lower the front end to get a nice rake look. Should I cut the stock springs or is there any aftermarket lowering springs available?

thanks,

L-82kid

That's because your fronts are skinnies.

VBP 550's will lower the front about an inch, not sure if their 460's lower the car or not. That or cut your current springs.

VBP's 550lbs springs are great. the 460lbs springs raise the front (mine was at 29")
The springs are only $80, not worth cutting IMO...

Here's a photo: front with 550lbs springs, rear 9-leaf re-arched with 8" bolts. front tires 255-60, rear tires 275-60.

I'm using 235/60/15 on the front with 275/60/15 on the rears, all on stock rallyes.

I'm thrilled with the rake, with no front end mods.
