Just got through bleeding my brakes, made it sooo much easier. I have had a bad brake problem since I got my car, it would pull to one side bad, no matter how much we tried to manually bleed them. We tried bleeding them the old two person way several times and could never get any good results. Today I replaced the front two brake hoses, used the power bleeder by myself and followed the sequence guys on the board suggested. Voila! Good brakes, straight stops and good pedal feel. I mean its not going to win any short distance contests or anything(stock brakes, no power) but it does stop straight and smooth. Atleast its safe to drive now.
Would never have known about the motive bleeder if it wasn't for you guys here!
I used 20lbs, I would let it come down to 18lbs, then pump it back up to 20lbs. I did have a hard time getting the adapter to seal, c-clamps helped a lot.
Yeah, I had trouble with the seal too. I ended up using the chains supplied and 2 clamps before it would hold pressure. The next time I try to bleed them I'll go with the higher pressure. 15 pounds worked but it was kinda slow to bleed. I don't understand why they recommend 10 to 20 pounds when the brake systen can develop pressures approaching 1000 psi or better. Probably something I'm missing or don't understand. Thanks for the feedback.

You only need enough pressure to move the fluid when bleeding.....some people just gravity bleed their brakes, and it works very well; pressure just helps it along. I also use 20 lbs., it makes it quicker for the rears. I find it easier and more effective to use "quick clamps", the one hand ratcheting type bar clamps available at Lowes or Home Depot. (Position one over each half of the MC, and squeeze tight.)
