fellas,
i am finally getting around to upgrading the fuel system on my '77. i'm pretty sure i'll need more fuel for the nitrous kit that is planned. currently i am running a high volume high pressure Edelbrock mechanical pump with pop-off fuel regulator with return to tank. both fuel lines are stock and barely keep up with the 406, so i think i'll need a fuel cell or modify the stock pick-up to 1/2" and stock return to 3/8". any ideas would be appreciated.
i'm running 600hp in the 406. i have an LM-1 A/F tuner that is showing me a slight lean-out on extended high rpm runs. i'm pretty sure the system is taxed to the max and won't support a 200 shot. thanks for the input though! i had the same thought when installing the motor, just looking to improove a little more.
any other ideas about modding the original tank pick-ups or pre-fabbed fuel cells would be highly appreciated.
