Default Regular or high volume oil pump advise needed

I am going to order a new oil pump for my 350 probably 375-400 HP. I am looking at Moroso Racing standard #22100 and high volume #22110 pumps. Do I need the high volume pump?

Get a regular pump with the high pressure spring. HV will help hold low speed and idle oil pressure with solid rollers using 2-3 pressurized holes to axles and with solid flat tappets with EDM holes in them for oiling. Usually the *Z-28* type pump is fine.

I third that. I switched to MEL55A pump and pressure went up by 20-30 psi

Melling sbc pump P/N 10552 (10% more volume not 25) strengthened cover with both shafts extended into cover ... bolt on screen (not pressed in) ... 10552 designed & made better than the M55x series pumps.
