69myway(I think is his name) has a setup like this, but he said he was going to road test it and make sure it all worked before he attempted to sell it...You can buy electric actuators that work on the same idea of the vacuum ones...(a rod pushes out and pulls in)

Months ago I paid jrduchek@blueridge.net for his promised kit.

At some point it became obvious that he had run into a few too many snags, including moving, etc... I asked for my $$ back and on 07-12-2001 jrduchek@blueridge.net replied that he would do that.

It's more than a month now and jrduchek@blueridge.net has stopped answering my messages and has not refunded my $$.

Guess it's better than losing a whole car and finding it in a NJ freight terminal!!

If anyone has contact with jrduchek@blueridge.net, (VETMANIAC ?), please let me know if this guy is still around.

Thanks

I haven't heard from him since making the offer to help him with the head light conversion. He lives in the same complex as zwede, so I can ask if he has seen Jim around lately. I never had anyway of contacting Jim other than his e-mail address. Regardless, I hope Jim does the right thing here and refunds your money soon. Good luck.

I was talking about this with a fellow vette owner at a car show last weekend. With every C3 owner I have talked with the consensus has been that they would pay up to the amount complete new headlight frames cost from say Ecklers for an electric conversion.

There is good money in this for someone. I know that Ecklers, Mid America, et al would pick it up and sell it...

BTW, I just did a search on username jimduchek and he has posted on the forum as recently as yesterday. He is still around....I hope he will see this message....man, I want those electric lights....I would even like to have what he has so far and try to finish it myself.

I sent money to Jim as well. I would like my money back, but I would far rather he would finish the project and send me the conversion....he was quite close as I recall. Zwede, any chance you can talk with him and convince him to finish the project?
