Default Hydraulic Clutch Conversion

I have a 1973 coupe with a 383 and 4-speed tranny. I am planning a Kiesler TKO-500 transplant in the future. I have seen several articles concerning the tranny swap and some mentioned a hydraulic clutch conversion. I asked Keisler and they said that they do have a kit for $500. Has anyone ever done a hydraulic clutch conversion? Pros and cons?
Thanks.

Sure, several have, most of us used a 1 ton truck hydraulic master cylinder, it's almost bolt on. There are no cons IMO

The clutch master comes from a 85 one ton chevy truck. Other then shortening the linkage it is strickly a bolt in deal.

The Keisler conversion is a hydraylic throwout bearing, and is a very nice arrangement. What most of us used is the master and slave cylinders that fit the 85 one tone chevy trucks. The master cylinder has the correct angle for the rod to match the clutch pedal perfectly. Like Norval said, you do have to shorten the rod and make it adjustable; whis is very easy to do. You also need a resoviore. I got mine from Coleman Racing but you should be able to find one at a junk yard from a vehicle that uses them. My clutch setup was about $120.00. Good luck!
