I'll cut the bolt as soon as I'm happy with the setup. I'm still not sure if I'm happy with the ride height, maybe I can raise it 1/2" and use a thinner bottom spring cushion and then cut whatever is under the nut.... should be fine then
Hmmm. I have a vision of the bolt catching the pavement and breaking. This allows the spring to snap down onto the pavement. The spring grinds down, possibly catching on something and wrenching itself out of the relatively soft crossmember mounting point.
I don't know..... I just don't think it's worth the risk.
