Has anyone used this hub to install a wheel and if so, how it the telescopic function disabled? This hub deletes the use of the telescopic function (according to the documentation) but looking at the wheel I do not see how this hub prevents the center rod from moving up and down. It looks like once the hub it attached the wheel would be able to move if you pull back on it. Is this how this hub works? Will the wheel move up and down freely when this hub is used?
I know that Paul@Thunder is probably the best person to ask for this since he sells them and was the one that told me part#2401 was the right hub to get. I have sent him a PM but kinda needed to know ASAP so I thought I would throw the question out to all you guys.
LOL< Marty, thats a way to indicate your sittin watchin to see whats happening or for another response in the thread, sittin eatin popcorn...
Thats pretty darn funny. I had no idea why people kept doing that other than to boost their post count.
Well, we figured out the momo wheel thing and for those out that that want to switch to this type of wheel.............keep all the parts from your original wheel. There where quite a few pieces that I ended up needing to use to get the momo wheel to connect correctly and not have the telescopic function unlocked all the time. Also needed some of the original pieces so that I could keep the horn working. I attached a pic for those that want to see how it looks. Pardon the mess of the car....it definatley needs an interior detailing and I have not gotten to that yet.
Could you post a pic from a little farther back. I was looking at these also based on your earler post. I was wondering how the slightly smaller wheel and the flattened bottom looked in the car. Thanks!

With the rear window it is hard to get much farther back. Here are a few pics from the side and one from above with the t-top off.
