Default replacing door frames on rear storage compartments

Anyone replace the door frames and main frame on the 2-door style
rear storage compartments? How difficult is it?
The door frame handle broke on mine. Plus the door frame and main
frame have a crack. I purchased a complete assembly from Zip which is
made by DeWitts. It looks and fits well, except the carpet is a bit thinner
and the doors are made of wood instead of plastic. So I would prefer
to rebuild the original assembly and install it.

you can buy just the frames from the same company Dewitts for about $20,got mine thru The Last Detail. you just break off the old frames(no way will they come off in one piece) and then sand down the 4 sides so that the replacements will just fit over. the new frames are held on by screws, which you will have to purchase. i used a belt sander to speed up the process and also used it on the top of the doors to get off little tufts of carpet that didn't pull off.

Gary79 gave you the correct procedure. It's an easy but a time consuming job. Work slowly and correctly and then you will be pleased with the results.
