button tab side yokes...any good?
Looking at replacing the side yokes and the hardened button tab inserts that madvette sells seem to be a reasonable compromise to buying the fully hardened yokes. Does anyone have any comments, yea or nea?

I believe all the rebuilt yokes have hardened tips and most are made by Lone Star and resold by the vendors. I buy them from Muskegon, much better service then some of the places I've dealt with.

You have a nice car with a good motor. Anything has to be better than the stock soft yokes. My custom hardened have been in for 16 years or so. I'd say that they were worth every penny of $450 for the two of them back then. That's over $1000 in todays money.

Gary is correct. Lone Star has the rights to the side yokes and all reconditioned side yokes have hardened ends. I personally have only had 2 or 3 of problems over the years. Hardened ends are worth it. Completely hardened if you have a high HP car. I believe the stock yokes have a tinsil stregth of 32 and the recaps are around 60-62.
