After I shut off the engine on my boat.
It seems to be coming from around the throttle rod
that controls the mains.
It was rebuilt by a friend 2 years ago but not run much. Does this indicate a float problem?
Thanks

Investigate the point it is coming out of a little further. Just because it is dripping from one place does not mean that is where it came out. I'm not at all saying it can't happen, but I've not seen a fuel leak at the throttle shaft before, it doesn't seem logical (but I'm not an authority). God bless, Sensei
spared carb cleaner down my q-jet and lo and behold mine leaked at the shaft also. suspect wear in the lower part of carb where the shaft goes through.
if it is leaking through the shaft, you should have a rough idle due to the vacuum leak that it would create. I had an S-10 Blazer that sucked air through the shaft due to a worn throttle body and it would not idle properly, kept surging....
