Default hood stuck!

I took the hood off to clean and paint the engine compartment.
I reinstalled it last nite and the passenger side wouldn't latch. I finally figured out which way the latch needed to be adjusted, but I apparently adjusted it too much. I cannot get the passenger side to release, even with someone pulling on the hood release while I try and push the hood over.

Any ideas?

Been there done that!! That happened to me the first rebuild, before I learned to disconnect the right latch when mounting hoods during alignment.

While it doesn't sound like much fun, about the only way to get it open will to be, put it up on stands, and wiggle your way to the front PS hood hinge and unbolt the hinge from the hood. Sometimes it will work to just lossen it up.

I know it looks like it can't be done, but it is possible with some effort and some slow turns on the wrench

I can get the drivers side up enough to pull on the cable and when I do I can hear the passenger side click like it has released, but it hasn't. The hood on the passenger side will move up and down like 3/8ths of an inch, but it just stops at that point and will not go any further.

Same thing mine did. a little movement but not enough to clear the latch slider on the right side. not enough wiggle room to clear the slider joint in the right latch. don't chance cracking the hood paint by forcing it, just loosen the hinge up on the right side.
