MSD universal spark plug kit...HELP!
After you cut your wire, strip it, crimp it. How in the world do you get the connecter through the pain in the butt HEI distributor boot. I have tried dielectric grease, liquid soap, WD 40. I did manage to get one all the way through but I tore the boot after I bent it to a 90 degree angle and tried to pull it back through. So far two torn boots and no new wires. Can I use the other set of dual crimper connecters that came with the set, I think that the brass 90 degree ones are for the HEI and the boot set I'm using has the litte ring on top for the retainer clip. I think these are the ones that go together. The MSD instructions were not very helpful. Not too clear.

Well, that did help ( and thanks) but I must be using the wrong connector. Got the connnector in the boot but it sticks out 1/4 inch and does not fasten on to the distributor. Are the brass one's that you bend 90 degrees the correct one for the HEI distributor. Do the boots with the ring for the lock down plate go with them. This set came with two sets of connectors. I am trying to run these wires over some looms down the valve covers. If I had only bought a complete set I'd be done!

Ok, got it pretty much fiqured out. Thanks for the reply and the looks. Don't seem to be able to attach a photo, was going to show the outcome of this project. Will put it under my car photo's
