Paint experts please.....
I just shot the top front fenders on horozontal surface next to hood, they are now gray....Sherwin Acryllic enamel, Acrylyd....two part and I used some sherwin thinner to spray with the Binks....ok....
lousey body work, fine, I accept that, I"m not pro...
thing is, the paint is dried with overspray of differant textures all over, it's fairly thick...so how long to dry,?? in sun, and shade, being driven...this is Florida summer, so it's hotter than hell, it's a dark gray metallic I can't hold my hand on in sun....
so how to polish it out to smooth/decent surface without having a cow...
anyone??
I have something called 3M Imperial Microfinishing compound....
that do it?? what to do?? buy a wool bonnet and put on the randum orbital sander?? buy a cheap body waxer?? how/what??
gotta be machine, got arthritis and repetitive motions with hands/arms/joints gets painful really fast....

This paint is old school stuff. I have used it 25 yrs. ago. If I remember right, wait three days for it to dry hard.
I have a few questions before I go futher.
1) Is your color a metalic color.
2) Did you use the hardner with it when you mixed up your paint.
3) Did you use a clear coat over the color.
