I have a 1979 'Vette with a perfect L48 original engine. All the numbers match. However, I'd love to build an engine with abit more power. I don't really want to go wild but would like to step up to 325 horse or so. I really don't want to do anything to this original engine and I plan to save it the way it is. Now, does anyone know if I can work with any 350 engine or do I have to stay with a Corvette engine. My guess is any 350 will work but don't know for sure. What are some cam, itake, and carb ideas for the output I'm looking for. I know I could buy a crate motor but I'm looking to show my 11 year old how these things are done. It's 15 years since I build a 454 for my Nova so I'm really excited about getting back at it. Thanks for any help you provide!!!
