Electrical Headache (HELP)

Electric Door locks:
Driver side unlocks both sides but will not lock either
Pass does nothing in the unlock (up position) and blows the fuse whenever I try the lock (down position)
Both switches are new and verified good...new pigtails on each switch as the old ones were very weak (verified correct wiring on each). Lock mechanism on Passenger side verified as working OK when direct power is applied....grounds on pass side look good.
Any ideas????
Pull the connector off each motor and use a voltmeter to check for voltage at each position with the switch.
If the drivers swith locks both sides then the ground is good. Make sure you got the wiring right, my new contacts had different color wires than the fact harness

I would like to add that if your door harness is an 80 then your positions are as follows for the pass. side(thats where I am guessing your wire switch took place)On the conn. are letters A-E----from the car harness should be wire colors-orange,blue,single black.Double Black ground goes to positions B and E--Orange goes to position A---Blue goes to position C---that should leave a Single Black which goes to Position D(there are variations on the last lead D it could be purple)This pass. side is a pain because the colors flip flop.If you have an older harness the colors and possitions. will be orange=A---pink=C---purple=D------double black=BandE(ground)
