Default Mechanical Advance Distributor Timing

OK, so I've seen a million threads describing how to set the timing for a vacuum advance distributor, but my 69 BB has an Accel dual point, mechanical advance distributor. It doesn't have the vacuum advance part. My question is this: What total timing should I shoot for at 3000 rpm or so. The vacuum advance guys say "36 degrees with the vacuum disconnected". I don't have vacuum, so what number should I look for?

Thanx,

-BC

Same as if you had vac adv, just follow the procedure and ignore the vac adv part of the instructions.

Default Sounds good

OK. Good deal, so I'll just set it for 36 degrees total timing at 3000 RPM and go for a ride!

Thanks for getting back to me.
