Guys - Need recommendations on a good brake system/complete kit. My 73' which has been sitting for a few years in disrepair is soon to be out of the motor shop. Rebuild .20 over, flat tops, dart iorn eagle heads w/ roller rockers, Edelbrock Performer Intake, Holley 670 Street Avenger, Headman, etc, etc...should tune out to about 350 hp...
But the car has the original brakes and has been sitting for three years! I want to replace the entire brake system (MC, rotors, calipers, lines, pads) with a new kit. I see VBP has a nice kit w/ VBP calipers (O-Ring), MC, OEM pads for $499.99. The also have a C# CX Package with caplipers, rotors, MC, pads, SS lines for $989.95.
Is this the way to go or do you recommend other brands?
Looks like VBP i sjust slighty less, about $50 less for a kit and the VBP calipers are o-ring and not the basic sleeved which Muskegon offers. I see there is a 10% Corvette Forum Memeber do=icount as well through VBP. I'll keep my eye on Muskegon though - good tip.
I bought NAPA performance components. Slotted rotors and SS calipers w/ ORings. Calipers came powder coated silver gray w HP semi-metallic pads. They are awesome brakes! $220/wheel
