my 71 vette have A/C problem...pics
hi, i'm nabu from france, i restore a 71 vette,
i just change my carpet and put a new a/c compressor, but there is this parts, i don' know if it 's genuine, can you tell me?
There is also an aluminium tube that come out from this part, but it goes nowhere, so if you know where it have to go, let me know.

Nice car.
That device is the Idle Stop Solenoid. It is supposed to kick the idle up a bit to compensate for the AC compressor kicking on. I have never seen one with the vacume part on it like that though, it looks like a vacume switch that was used to control something else when the AC kicked on.
